On February 13, 2021, Canada invited over 27,000 skilled workers in Canada to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry- Canadian Experience Class category. To be able to receive an invitation to apply, candidates who are eligible for CEC must score higher than the current government cut-off i.e 75 points. The previous CEC draw on January 21, 2021, was 454, with 4626 invitations sent. Today that very same score dropped to 75!
This draw was unprecedented in all terms qualifying as the largest express entry draw ever. This is a positive step forward by the government to help more skilled workers stay in Canada and boost the economic recovery that has taken a beating since COVID-19.
Workers with Canadian experience have received an invitation to apply with scores as low as 75 which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone who qualified. Recent statistics reflect some astounding numbers where one in three businesses with employees is owned by an immigrant, which creates thousands of employment opportunities.
The candidates invited to apply must still have one year of Canadian experience, have proven they contribute to the economy and have paid taxes. Those who received an ITA will have 90 days to submit their complete application.
